Sun Aimin
Founder and CEO
Sun brings over three decades of invaluable experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. With a rich history, he began his journey as the founder of Moody International in China, establishing a strong foundation for his career. Since 2004, Sun has been instrumental in steering Moody’s business as the regional director in the Asia Pacific region.
His academic prowess is underscored by a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, obtained in 1987 from one of China’s top universities. This educational background equips him with a robust understanding of engineering principles and industrial applications.
In the early 1990s, Sun’s career trajectory led him to pivotal roles within import and export inspection authorities. Subsequently, in 1992, he embarked on a new venture, spearheading Moody’s establishment through a joint venture with the Chinese Import and Export Inspection Authority. This strategic move laid the groundwork for Moody’s success and solidified Sun’s reputation as a visionary leader in the TIC sector.
Sun has earned the esteemed title of being a pioneer in Supplier Quality Surveillance and Expediting Services for Capital Investment Projects in China. His visionary leadership has not only garnered a strong reputation but also credibility among both local and international owner and EPC clients. Over the past three decades, Sun has led his team in expanding business operations and technical resources, facilitating the remarkable growth of the business across the region.
In 2017, Sun and his dedicated team took a significant step forward by establishing BIA in Asia through a joint venture with BIA Group, Inc. This strategic move has proven to be immensely successful, as they have diligently built and grown the business to a level that is highly esteemed and recognized within the market.
With continuous expansion of our service scope and adoption of new technologies, it is the time for us to re-brand our business from traditional “Inspection” to “ Beyond Inspection Activities – BIA” which catch up the business steps forward today and represent our vision of business future.
In April 2025, BIA Asia team has completed management buy out of BIA Group, Inc. and rebranding the business as BIA I Bureau Industry Assurance to continue the services to the clients world wide.
This is milestone of our company to enter new era building up our future without limits in our vision and business development from upstream to downstream of our core services.
Now BIA has registered entities in Singapore, China and Korea, and has contracted with over 1,000 technical expatriates covering most of manufacturing bases in Asia to support clients’ purchase activities and construction projects in supplier quality surveillance and construction site quality management.
